By far, the most common question I get about my work is, "how did you do the waves in Seacliff?" I'm afraid the answer has a bit to do with luck. Below is a shot of the wireframe with one of the several 'wave terrains' selected. To make the wave terrains, I took the cliff terrain, copy-pasted it, inverted it in the terrain editor and painted dark softly paralleling the coastline. Then I squashed the terrain out quite flat and made sure it stuck partway above and partway below the water plane. The wave terrains have a material that is derived from but not the same as the material of the water plane (more greenish instead of bluish, different type/frequency of bump). I have not been able to reliably reproduce this result, so good luck creating it on your own!
